Elite Baseball Training West Suburbs

Ryan Johansen to Lead EBT’s Aurora Location

Elite Baseball Training (EBT) is opening a new facility in Aurora Fall of 2023 under direction of former Chicago White Sox Assistant Hitting Coordinator Ryan Johansen. Johansen will serve as EBT’s Co-Director of Player Development alongside current Director of Player Development Travis Kerber. This role will have Ryan overseeing offensive player development philosophies and providing instructional programming out of EBT’s new Aurora location. Teams training out of the west suburbs will receive programming under Johansen’s guidance and have the opportunity to book additional training time with one of the most sought after coaches in the country.

Ryan Johansen
Co-Director of Player Development

“When we started exploring suburban locations we knew an established lead instructor was a must. I can’t think of a better person to maintain our standard of instruction than Ryan. He is a player development expert that has spent time with high level prospects across all levels of the game including within MLB organizations. I can’t be more thrilled about this partnership and for the product the West Suburban clients will receive.”

Justin Stone – President, Elite Baseball Training

Tryouts for 2023-2024 West Suburban Teams start in July. Click here for dates and to register.

Teams based out of the new Aurora facility will have open facility times including access to the cages and weight room in addition to their scheduled team practice times. Players will go through initial player testing in the fall guided by Johansen and receive updated player development numbers throughout the season. The private facility will house a Hittrax unit along with EBT’s technology pieces used in the Biotech cage in Chicago.

“I’m looking forward to having access to Elite’s technology and the team of people they’ve built. The best player development systems are always a team effort and I don’t know of any other program that has more resources in equipment, knowledge and talented coaches.”
